Aaron "Junebug" Purvis Lucas III

Aaron Purvis Lucas III February 22, 1954 - November 3, 2015 Aaron Purvis Lucas III, 62, of Wilson passed away Tuesday. Funeral services will be conducted 7 p.m. Friday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. The Rev. Ray Wells will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service Friday evening at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Aaron was known by many as “Junebug” where he was employed for many years by the Bailey feed mill. Aaron is survived by his loving wife, Joan Davis Lucas of the home; his daughters, Christy L. Barefoot and husband Mark of bailey and Tiffany L. Liles of Lucama; his son, Michael A. Lucas and his wife Jessica of Middlesex and nine grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; Aaron P. and Alice R. Lucas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Marsh Swamp FWB Church, 6504 Rock Ridge School Rd. Wilson, NC 27893.
