Adell Dalrymple Lewis

Adell “Dally” Dalrymple Lewis, of Wilson left her earthly home on Saturday morning at Parkwood Village. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at Winstead United Methodist Church, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. Paul Dunham will officiate. The family will receive friends 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Monday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at 4822 Lake Hills Drive, Wilson. Adell was born March 26, 1927 in Guilford County. She graduated from Carolina General Hospital School of Nursing and worked for Dr. William Hunter, Dr. Joseph Kerr, and Dr. Charles Parker, then as an operating room nurse at Wilson Medical Center until she retired in March of 1989. She is survived by her daughters; Debbie Bradley and husband, Lawrence of Wilson and Pat Perry and husband, Ricky of Middlesex; her grandchildren, Brad Bradley and wife, Rachel of Asheville, Heather Moore and husband, Todd of Greensboro and Cole Perry and wife, April of Wilson; her great-grandchildren, Marlee, Peyton, and Bryson Moore and William and River Bradley; her sisters, Dot Jackson and husband, Dan and Lizzy Stinson of Burlington; her brother, Carl Dalrymple; her sisters-in-law, Gertrude White of Rocky Mount and Dot Lewis of Wilson; and her nephew, Bill Lewis of Wilson. Adell was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Robert “Bob” Lewis; her parents, Clarence and Espie Dalrymple; her sister, Edna Carter and brothers, C.B. and Hal Dalrymple.
