Albert Sabella, Jr. May 31, 1946 – May 16, 2021 Albert Sabella, Jr., went to be with the Lord peacefully. He was in his wife’s arms and surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Therese Catholic Church, 700 Nash St N, Wilson. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. Albert served his country with honor and pride as a Vietnam Veteran in the United States Air Force. He loved gardening, and fishing with his grandsons. Spending time with his family was always the highlight of his day. Albert was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Albert is survived by his loving wife of fifty-two years, Carol Yannucci Sabella. His son, Philip Sabella (Jennifer) and daughters, Judianne Wall (Phillip) and Melissa Howell (Adam Trent) are all of Wilson. Al’s grandchildren, Meagan, Brianna, Gabrielle, Zachary, Benjamin, Philip, and Avery Virginia were the apple of his eye. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Sabella and Elizabeth Bilello Sabella; sister, Virginia Bacchi, and his brothers, Angelo Sabella, and Luciano Sabella.
