Alice Jeannette Massengill

Alice Jeannette Massengill September 11, 1949 – July 19, 2019 Alice “Jeannette” Massengill, 69 of Sanford, formerly of Wilson passed away Friday.  Her funeral services will be conducted at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.  Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5 – 5:45 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson and other times at the home of Romona Herndon, please use the front door. Alice is survived by her daughter, Amy Ballard of Wilson; sons, Robert Massengill of Wilson and Scott Massengill and wife, Stacey of Wilson; seven grandchildren; sister, Gail Matthews and husband, Jimmy of Smithfield; brothers, David Johnson of Lucama and Joey Johnson and wife, Arlene of Lucama; her best friend and sister-in-law, Romona Massengill Herndon of Wilson; beloved dog, Jasmine and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Massengill and her parents, Melvin and Gertie Keene Johnson.
