Alma Wilson Perry Boone Alma “Phoebe” Wilson Perry Boone, of Middlesex passed away Thursday. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hollywood Cemetery, Middlesex. The Rev. Larry Wells will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home of her daughter, Jean Worrell. Phoebe had a great love and fondness for her fourteen cats, who are going to miss her. She was known county wide as the tax lady and someone who would speak her mind. Phoebe was a loving mother, grandmother, step-mother, sister, and a friend to all who knew her. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed and thought of often with memories that will warm the heart. Phoebe is survived by her daughters, Jean Worrell and husband, Johnnie, and Sandra Etheridge and husband, Ronnie; her sons, Laudis “Dusty” Perry, Jr., and Steve Perry and wife, Jennifer; her grandchildren, Michelle Edwards and husband, Chris, Joanna Briggerman, LeAnn Pacheco and husband, John, Anne-Marie Bailey and husband, Matt, David Perry and wife, Becky, Chris Perry and Brandon Perry; step-child, Randy Boone and wife, Kelly; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Katie Jones, and her caregiver, Larry Barnes. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Laudis Perry; second husband, Clarence Boone; her parents, Robert and Pattie Wilson; sister, Mary Elizabeth “Doodle” Boswell, and her brothers, Willard “Yank” Wilson, and Carlie Clark Wilson.
