Alvin Patrick Phillips February 17, 1972 – February 09, 2017 Alvin Patrick Phillips, 44, of Wilson passed away Thursday. His funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. Sunday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson.  Inurnment will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Marsh Swamp Original Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, Sims.  The Rev. Anderson Barnes will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday evening following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home of his parents. Alvin was a graduate of Wilson Christian Academy and UNC of Wilmington. He was a member of New Sandy Hill Church and a Past Exalted Ruler with Elks Lodge in Wilson. Alvin is survived by his wife, Annette Keegan Phillips; his parents, Henry E. Phillips and Candis Bernice Phillips of Bailey, and several close cousins, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bernice and Almer Brewer, and Charles H. and Annie Lee Pope Phillips, and several aunts, and uncles.
