Amanda Paige Barber Farmer August 17, 1960 – January 15, 2017   Amanda Paige Barber Farmer, 56, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Wilson Medical Center.   Amanda is survived by a brother, Joseph “Joey” Barber and wife, Norma Jean of Mt. Holly; a cousin, Donna Mayhew and husband, Trey of Lincolnton, and their son, Christopher of Lincolnton; her aunts, Kay Novick and Debbie Inman, and her son, Travis of Lincolnton; her beloved cat, Face, and her brothers-in-law, Gary Farmer and wife, Brenda of Wilson, Graham Farmer and wife, Jeanette of Rosedale, Virginia, and John Farmer and wife, Sharon of Asheville.   She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Layvonne Barber, and her husband, Thomas B. Farmer.   Amanda loved working in the yard tending to her many flowers.   A private graveside service and a celebration of Amanda’s life will be held at a later date.   The family would like to thank Dr. Keith Lerro, his staff, and Dr. Margaret Metts, and her staff for all of their compassionate care during Amanda’s illness.   Condolences may be directed to Joyner’s Funeral Home at www.joyners.net.
