Amy Horton Toney September 20, 1936 – August 10, 2016 Amy Horton Toney, 79, of Wilson passed away Wednesday. Her funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Dr. Michael Coppock will officiate. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday evening at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home of daughter, Teresa. Amy is survived by her daughters, Teresa Toney Kluttz of Wilson, Shelly Toney Butterworth and husband, Carter of Kennesaw, Georgia, Marianne Toney Miller and husband, Rod of Smyrna, Georgia, and Wendy Toney Cain and husband, Glenn of Concord; grandchildren, Lee Kluttz, Brett Davis and wife, Mary, Amy Kluttz Daniel and husband, Joseph, Zachary Davis and wife, Megan, Clay Butterworth, Jordan Davis, Carson Butterworth, and Davis Kluttz; her five great-grandchildren; sisters, Arah H. Beckham of Salisbury, Katy H. Blanton and husband, Graham of Fayetteville, and Judy W. Stanley of Wilson; her brother, Ronald J. Horton of Wilson and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry C. Toney; parents, Pearlie and Velia Horton, and her brothers, Buddy Horton, Jerry Horton, Dock Horton, and Curtis Joel Horton.
