Andrea Cullom Holdford Van Gieson October 17, 1965 – October 11, 2019 Andrea Cullom Holdford Van Gieson of Saxapahaw passed away Friday, October 11, 2019. A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Inurnment will be private. Andrea was an environmentalist, a cat lover, an avid reader, a fan of Volkswagen Beetles, and she always had a quirky and unique vibe all her own. Andrea grew up in Wilson, moved to Raleigh and then recently lived in Saxapahaw. She obtained an Associate’s Degree in Library Science from Central Carolina Community College and worked in the Wake County and NC State Library Systems for several years. She engaged further in her love of reading by holding positions in several Raleigh bookstores. Andrea is survived by her sister, Jules Holdford of Baltimore, Maryland; stepmother, Elaine Marshall of Raleigh and her beloved niece and nephew, Jordan Wheatley Skolnitsky of Annandale, Virginia and Gray Wheatley of Charlotte and numerous cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Joan Holdford.
