Ann Narron Powell, 90, of Wilson passed away Wednesday.  A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson, with the family receiving friends immediately after. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson. The family will receive friends other times at the home. Ann is survived by her son, Russ Powell and wife, Myra of Wilson; her grandchildren, Jonathon Windom Powell and wife, Dena and their daughter, Parker of IN, Anna Lane Powell of NV and Blake Arthur Powell and wife, Lauren of Wilson and her special nieces and nephews, Sandra Horne Benton of Raleigh, Jane Horne Brinson & husband, Lloyd of Wilson and their children, John Tomlinson Brinson, William Lloyd Brinson, and Anna Russell Brinson and John E. Horne, Jr. and wife, Lisa of Lexington, and their sons, Michael Lewis Biescker, Adam Anderson Horne and Alex Conrad Horne and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell V. Powell and her daughter, Sue Narron Powell. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to First Christian Church, 207 North Tarboro Street, Wilson, NC  27893.
