Anne Bailey Potochar

Anne Bailey Potochar, 79 of Wake Forest, formerly of Stantonsburg, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2024. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2024, in Stantonsburg Town Cemetery, Stantonsburg.  

The family will receive friends Monday evening, December 30, 2024, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. 

Anne graduated from Saratoga Central High School. She loved the town she grew up in, Stantonsburg but no matter where she lived that was always home. She worked for the Department of Social Services most of her career. Anne loved animals and her grandchildren, they were the world to her. She was always willing to help others. Anne was greatly loved and will be missed. 

Anne is survived by her son, Brian Carter and wife, Angela; grandsons, Brandon Carter, Justin Felty, and Ethan Carter; granddaughter, Lauren Carter, and her brother, Robert Bailey and wife, Cindy.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Zille Mae Bailey.
