Annie Belle Bailey Amerson

Annie Belle Bailey Amerson, 84, of Wilson passed away Wednesday.   A private service will be held for the family.   Annie was a former cafeteria manager at Fike High School and was a hostess with Holiday Inn.   Annie is survived by her daughter, Kaye Thomas and husband, Ronnie of Wilson; her sons, William F. “Billy” Amerson and wife, Kim of Roanoke Rapids, James F.  “Jimmy” Amerson and wife, Terry of Wilson, Danny Ray Amerson and wife, Norma of Elm City and Thomas Allen Amerson and wife, Donna of Wake Forest; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and her brother, Kenneth Ray Bailey of Newport News, Virginia.   She was preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin Amerson; her parents, Oscar Bailey and Lessie Perry; her sisters, Marie and Pat and her beloved dog, Mitt Mitt.   The family would like to thank the staff at WilMed Nursing and Rehab Center for their compassion and care of their mother.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1305 Navaho Drive, Suite 101, Raleigh, NC  27605.   Condolences may be directed to www.joyners.net
