Annie Mozelle Banks Inscore
January 26, 1923 – November 18, 2019
Annie “Mozelle” Banks Inscore, 96 formally of Wilson peacefully passed away Monday, November 18, 2019 at 9:10 a.m. with her son and caretaker, Tony H. Inscore by her side. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2019 in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Steve Clayton of First Baptist Church will officiate the service.
Mozelle is survived by her two sons, Tony Harold Inscore and wife, Marie of Rocky Mount and Timothy Lee Inscore and wife, Susan of San Miquel, Mexico; grandchildren, Maria Hope Inscore, Martha Inscore Howard, Cameron Inscore Gardner, Timothy Lee Inscore, Jr., and Christopher Lee Inscore; numerous great-grandchildren and her sisters, Doris Eddy of Richmond, Virginia, Judy Foxworth of Rocky Mount and Carlene Hendricks of Charlotte.
Mozelle was one of six sisters born and raised in Mount Airy, North Carolina. In 1942, she married the love of her life, the late Roy Lee Inscore. They were married for seventy-one years. She was a beautiful, loving, and gracious woman who always put her family first. As an extremely talented artist, Mozelle was well known throughout the State of North Carolina for her watercolor “Old Country Barn” paintings. Mozelle was an active member of the Wilson County Arts Council.
