Anthony Jason “Tony” Hackett, 46, of Wilson passed away Friday after a brave battle with cancer.  A Memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Monday at the First Christian Church, 207 N Tarboro Street, Wilson. The family will receive friends Monday immediately following the service in the fellowship hall and other times at 1728 Parkway Street, Wilson. Tony is survived by his wife, Shannon Hackett of the home; his daughter, Hannah Hackett of Wilson; his sons, Hunter Hackett of Wilson and Chase Long of Wilson; his father, Roger Hackett and wife, Ji Hee of Fayetteville; his sisters, Diane Bazella of MN and Jillea Hackett of Raleigh; his brother, Tyler Hackett and wife, Lisa of Fayetteville and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Hackett. Much like any underdog team, Tony had no concept of the word QUIT … Go Pirates!!
