Arthur Ray Walston January 22, 1922 – September 19, 2016 Arthur Ray Walston, 94, of Wilson passed away Monday. His funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 1815 Airport Blvd West, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Joe Shakour will officiate. The family will receive friends 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. Arthur is survived by his wife of sixteen years, Augustine K. Walston of the home; his daughters, Shelly W. Vick and husband, J.C. of Wilson, and Joy Walston Bowman and husband, Paul of Alpharetta, Georgia; his son, Bobby Ray Walston and wife, Diane of Elm City; granddaughters, Regina, Beth, and Elizabeth; grandsons, Chris, Kevin, and Edward, and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Phyllis Lewis.
