November 19, 1921 – March 31, 2014

Barbara Hinton Finch, 92, of Bailey passed away Monday.  A funeral service will be conducted 7 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in Bailey Town Cemetery.  The Rev. Eldrick Davis will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Barbara was a librarian for the Town of Bailey for many years and she also worked as a library assistant at Southern Nash Senior High School.  She was a member of Bailey Methodist Church, a member of DAR and Eastern Star.  Barbara enjoyed genealogical research.  She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed and thought of often with memories that will warm the heart. Barbara is survived by her daughters, Nancy F. Eaves and husband, Thomas of McDonough, GA and Leigh F. Harris and husband, Al of Savannah, GA; her grandsons, Kevin Harris and Robin Harris both of Savannah, GA; her great-granddaughter, Anna Grace Sherrod of Savannah, GA and her nephew, Maj. Gen. William S. Hinton, Jr. (Ret.), of Williamsburg, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Lee Finch; her parents, Morphus Hinton and Esther Sanders Hinton and her brother, William S.
