Barbara Sue Lamm Worrell

Barbara Sue Lamm Worrell, 79, of Bailey, passed suddenly, Tuesday, October 25, 2022.   Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2022 at Joyner’s Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Bailey Town Cemetery. Rev. Rusty Russell will officiate.

The family will receive friends Monday morning from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Jimmie Douglas Worrell of the home; son, Jeffery Douglas Worrell of of the home; daughter, Susan Worrell-Bridgers and husband, Chad of Bailey and her grandchildren, Chasen and Ava Bridgers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Everette and Sudie Lamm and her beloved dogs, Haley, Ike and her horse, Lady.

Barbara retired from Bridgestone/Firestone after twenty-two years of service.   She was a member of Bailey Baptist Church and the Virginia Dare Book Club.  Barbara enjoyed her family especially her grandchildren and was an avid animal lover. She loved working in her yard with her many flowers and plants.  Anyone that truly knew Bar-Bar/Babs knew they broke the mold with her.  She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed and thought of often with wonderful memories.
