Bernardine McGhie Wheeler

Bernardine McGhie Wheeler, 97, passed away on Thursday, February 22.  A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 28 at 11:00 am at Evergreen Memorial Park, 2800 Nash Street N, Wilson.  Reverend Johnny Hendricks will officiate.

Bernardine is survived by her daughter, Patricia Shaw and husband, Dennis of Raleigh; son, Michael Wheeler and wife, Kay of Elm City; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Bernardine was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joe L. Wheeler, Jr.; daughter, Mary W. Peele; parents, George McGhie and Agnes McManus McGhie.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wilson Arts Council at 204 Nash St S, Wilson, NC 27893.
