Berniece Bass Campbell
April 12, 1922 – November 6, 2020
Berniece Bass Campbell, 98 of Sims passed away Friday. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Walt Tyndall will officiate.
The family will receive friends Monday evening 5 – 7 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Berniece’s daughters were her whole life along with all her grandchildren. She also loved her church family and pastor. She was greatly loved by those who knew and worked with her.
Berniece is survived by her daughters, Kay H. Braddy and husband, Lynn, Micki H. Webb and husband, Dan, and Melody H. Wiggins; step-daughter, Jolynn Campbell; grandchildren, Shay Jackson, Brooke Best, Dana Creech, Brandon Jackson, Maggie Kreitzer, Ginny Holloman, Will Webb, Matt Webb and Josh Webb; eighteen great-grandchildren and great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Albert Holland and Dr. Joseph Campbell; parents, William Henry and Emma Barnes Bass; great-grandson, Christian Swartzfager and ten siblings.
The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the Telemetry ICU staff at Wilson Medical Center for their care and compassion.
