Betrice E. Winstead Robbins October 24, 1926 – March 17, 2016 Betrice E. Winstead Robbins, 89, of Sharpsburg passed away Thursday. Her funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Peoples Chapel Cemetery, Elm City. The Rev. Allen Mills and Rev. Gene Wells will officiate. The family will receive friends 1 – 2:45 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at 409 Millbranch Road, Sharpsburg. Betrice is survived by her husband, Robert Issac Robbins; her son, Gerald C. Winstead and wife, Gini of South Carolina; her granddaughter, Kristen Boyle and husband, Jayme of Tennessee; her grandsons, Blair Bass and wife, Pam of Virginia, Randall Bass and wife, Amy of Virginia, Brandon Winstead of Goldsboro, and Shane Winstead of Goldsboro; seven great-grandchildren; her sisters, Theresa Braswell, and Patricia Daughtridge both of Rocky Mount; and her son-in-law, Kenneth Bass of New Bern. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna W. Bass; husband of fifty-four years, Jimmie A. Winstead, and her parents, Grover Washington Edwards and Robena Long Edwards.
