Betty Marie Hoffman

Betty Marie Hoffman February 5, 1942 – April 11, 2016 Hoffman, Mrs. Betty Marie age 74 of Rocky Mount, formerly of Muskegon Michigan, passed away Monday, April 11, 2016 in Rocky Mount. She was born Betty Marie Heath in Coleman Michigan, the daughter of Lois Arlene (Schoonmaker) Heath and Cleo Edward Heath on February 5, 1942. She was wed to Duane Howard Hoffman (of Muskegon Michigan) on March 21, 1959. Together they celebrated fifty-two years of marriage at their home in Rocky Mount. Betty was a homemaker, devoted wife and a loving mother. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, crocheting, bowling, coin and stamp collecting with her favorite past time was spending time with her family and friends. Betty and Duane have four children, daughter, Teresa Crain and husband, Bert Crain of Travelers Rest, South Carolina, son, Bruce Hoffman and wife, Deb of Fruitport, Michigan, daughter, Kristine Smith and husband, David of Wilmington, and son, Rodney Hoffman and wife, Angie of Rocky Mount; nine grandchildren and five great grand-children; her sisters; Vivian Spencer of Ravenna, Michigan, Lois Armstrong of Muskegon, Michigan; her brother, Aron and wife, Sue Heath of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and her sister- in- law, Sandy Heath of Hudson, Florida. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Duane; parents, Lois and Cleo Heath, and her brothers, Glen and Norm Heath. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Friday April 15, 2016 at Fields-McKinley Grant Chapel, Grant Michigan. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday April 16, 2016 at Fields-McKinley Grant Chapel with Pastor Bill Payette.
