Betty Lou Medlin, 80, of Wilson passed away Wednesday.-Funeral services will be conducted 7 p.m. Friday at West Wilson Church of God, 3322 NC 42 W, Wilson.-Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in Bailey Town Cemetery.-Bishop Kenneth Johnson will officiate.

The family will receive friends immediately following Friday night service and other times at 4302 River Lake Road, Elm City.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.-She was a friend to all and she was greatly loved and will be missed by many.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Medlin Bailey of Wilson; her son, Randy Medlin of Wilson; her granddaughter, Ashley Wilson and husband, Richard of Wilson; her grandsons, Justin Bailey and wife, Ashley of Wilson and Brandon Medlin and wife, Christina of Wilson; her great-grandchildren, Jacob and Kailey Wilson and Nathan and Bentley Medlin; her sisters, Nellie Issette and husband, Pete of Bailey and Lela Cloud of Deland, Florida and her brother, Dewey Brantley and wife, Betty Lou of Bailey.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Horace Medlin; her parents, Jonah Brantley and Sidney Davis Brantley, and her brothers, Percy, Doc, Sam and Teddy Brantley.
