Betty Madella -Del- Newcomb Hinnant, 75, of Lucama passed away Wednesday.-Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday at Joyner-s Funeral Home.-Entombment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.-The Rev. Wayne Whitley will officiate.

The family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Friday at Joyner-s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

-Del- is survived by her daughter, Tiana Madella Hinnant of Wake Forest; her granddaughter, Gracelyn Madella Irvin and her grandsons, Addison Lloyd Irvin and Ansel James Irvin all of Wake Forest; her sisters, Donna Tripp of Ayden, Jean Tripp and Bonny Shimada both of Ormondsville, and Caroline van der Stokker of Morehead City, and her brothers, John Newcomb of Williamston and William Newcomb of Fremont.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lloyd Hinnant; her parents, James and Betty Mae Newcomb; her sisters, Anne Kenward and Wanda Newcomb; and her brother, James Newcomb, Jr.
