Betty Jean Pope

August 4, 1935 – December 18, 2021

Betty Jean Pope, 86 of Wilson and Johnson County, passed away Saturday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday December 21, 2021 at Joyner's Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson. Reverend Lyn Renfrow will officiate.

The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Betty is survived by her son, Kenneth Gene Kelly and wife, Joyce of Wilson; stepsons, Jackie Pope and wife Libby of Kenly, James Gray Pope and wife Denise of Kenly; stepdaughter, Jean Pope of Kenly; granddaughter, Langley Kelly Hoeferkamp and husband Sam; grandson, Todd Kelly; step granddaughters, Candice Monroe and Cathi Pope; three step great grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Pate and Ann Ripsom and brothers, Jack and Jarold Langley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Naomi Langley; husbands, Clement “Bill” Ferrell and Ralph Pope; brothers, JT Langley, Bobby Langley, Leatrice Langley, Jimmy Langley, Wayne Langley, Carold Langley and Harold Langley.
