Betty Jean (Sloper) Wilfong

Betty Jean Wilfong December 7, 1936 – May 24, 2015 Betty Jean Wilfong, 78, of Elm City passed away Sunday. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway. The Rev. Ray Wells will officiate. Betty is survived by her son, William Ray Chappell, Jr. and wife, Susan Marie of Vienna, Virginia; her granddaughter, Danielle Dawn Chappell of Martinsburg, West Virginia; her grandson, William Joseph Chappell of Alexandria, Virginia; her great-granddaughter, Dylan Marie Casey of Martinsburg, West Virginia; her brother, Warren Leith Sloper and wife, Laura of Little River, South Carolina; her nephew, Ronnie Revis and wife, Sharon of Sims; her great niece, Michelle Lynn Greene of Sims; her great-nephew, Ronnie Revis, Jr. and wife, Mandy of Rocky Mount, and her great-great nephew, David Michael Greene of Sims. She was preceded in death by her husband, James William Wilfong and her parents, Thomas Leigh Sloper and Edna Virginia Carrico Sloper.
