Betty Jean Williams, 84, of Wilson passed away Saturday.  A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home.  The Rev. Rusty Russell will officiate. The family will receive friends 6 – 8 p.m. Monday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Betty is a true Texan, she was born and raised in Kerrville, Texas and moved to Wilson with her husband, Al.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all that knew her.  She will be truly missed. Betty is survived by her daughter, Nancy Barnes and husband, Neal of Lucama; her sons, David A. Williams and wife, Jeannie of Texas and Russell Williams and wife, Rene of Pennsylvania; her granddaughters, Katie Williams and Lisa Williams both of Texas and Missy Cobb of Lucama; her grandsons, Travis Williams of Texas, Ronnie Shumate of Pennsylvania and Joshua Williams of Lucama and her sisters, Jimmie Ferman of Texas and Margie Bailey of Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Verlon Williams; her son, Vincent Williams and her grandson, Samuel Shumate.
