Billy Hugh Boykin July 8, 1939 – August 19, 2021 Billy Hugh Boykin, 82 of Raleigh passed away Thursday after a long illness from Prostate Cancer. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bailey Town Cemetery, Bailey. Rev. Wayne Whitley will officiate. Billy is survived by his best friend and significant other, Linda Johnson, sons, Donald Hugh Boykin (Vicky) and Jeffery Dale Boykin (Amanda); daughter, Pamela B. Johnston (David); grandchildren, Marli, Emmy, Kyndal, Jaxon and Alexa; great-grandchildren, Willow Rose Boykin; sister, Hilda Painter (Jimmy); brother, Gerald “Dock” Boykin (Gail); his best friends, Marvin T. Scarboro (Sallye) and Linda Johnson’s family, and a host of nieces and nephews that he dearly loved. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorna Boykin; parents, Albert Dewey and Mildred Boykin; sisters, Jean Stone and Betty Denton, and brothers, Keith Boykin, and Carl Boykin.
