Billy Delano Richardson
July 25, 1933 – February 24, 2020
Billy Delano Richardson, 86, of Wilson passed away peacefully at his home on Monday surrounded by his loving family. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Daniels Chapel FWB Church. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. Bill Groce will officiate.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the residence.
He was a devoted and loving husband, Daddy and Papa. He was a member of Lucama Masonic Lodge #527 and a 32nd Degree Scottish Rites Mason, a member of the Wilson County Shrine Club and also a member of Daniels Chapel FWB Church. Billy was a man of many talents. He started out working for Imperial Tobacco, taught at Pitt Technical, established Richardson & Skinner Plumbing Company, was a farmer, and developed Richardson Mobile Home Park. He also loved to travel, woodworking, fishing and spending time with his family. He loved the Lord and he loved his family.
Billy is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorothy Marie Skinner Richardson, of the home; daughter, Deborah Richardson Webb and husband, John of Wilson; grandsons, Benjamin Webb and Harrison Givens; granddaughters, Hannah Givens and Leah Givens; 3 nieces and 4 nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Richardson Givens; parents, Jesse Bryant and Bettie Whitley Richardson; sister, Elizabeth R. Pittman; and brother, Bobby G, Richardson.
Flowers are welcome or donations may be made in Billy’s memory to Daniels Chapel FWB Church, 4828 Frank Price Church Road, Wilson, North Carolina 27893.
