Blanche Duke Hester

Blanche Duke Hester April 25, 1924 – July 6, 2018 Blanche Duke Hester, 94, of Wilmington passed away Friday. Her funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ascension Lutheran Church, 2512 Nash Street N, Wilson. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. The Rev. Mandy Iahn will officiate. The family will receive from 10 – 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at Ascension Lutheran Church, Wilson. Blanche is survived by her daughter, Gail Hester Talman and husband, Frank of Wilmington; granddaughter, Jackie Clark; great-granddaughter, Madison Kate Murray; her niece, Connie Duke Collier and her children, Constance Collier Smith and Jameson Drew Collier and their children, Eleanor Lillian Smith and Everett Duke Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wildon Hester in 2001.
