Bobbie Dean Spain Lamm
February 14, 1938 – February 25, 2021
Bobbie Dean Spain Lamm, 83 of Bailey passed away Thursday. Her funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in the Dew Family Cemetery, Bailey. The Rev. Hal Jones will officiate.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 12:30 – 1:45 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home of her son, Mike, 6508 Dolphus Lane, Sims.
Bobbie graduated from Atlantic Christian College with an Associate Degree in Music and was a music teacher for over fifty years. She was a charter member of the Wilson Piano Teacher’s Association and the pianist at Oak Grove Church for many years and White Oak Hill Church in her later years. She was a Sunday school teacher and was involved in several ministries for both churches. Bobbie was the co-owner of Southern National Speedway and Orange County Speedway. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew her. Bobbie will be greatly missed and her talent of playing piano.
Bobbie is survived by her sons, Charlie Lamm and wife, Anita of Sims, and Mike Lamm and wife, Missy of Sims; granddaughter, Miranda Lamm; grandsons, Montana Lamm, Joshua Lamm, and Ches Lamm and wife, Savannah of Wilson; great-grandsons, Cash and Miles Lamm, and her sister, Ethel Rouse.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William “Mack” Lamm; parents, Sydney DeLeon Spain and Elizabeth Miller Spain; sisters, Nanny Boyette, Christine O’Neal, Adore Rouse, Irene Browning and Phyllis-Jean Spain and her brothers, Lantis Spain, Wilton Spain, Drury Spain, Wally Spain, Jerry Spain, and Lindsey Spain.
