Bobby Lee Howell

Bobby Lee Howell April 26, 1939 – June 21, 2020 Bobby Lee Howell, 81 of Spring Hope passed away peacefully Sunday, June 21, 2020 with his family by his side. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Bobby was born in Nash County on April 26, 1939 to the late Robert Lee Howell and Elsie Manning Howell. He was well known as the Sundrop Man for over forty years. Bobby was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all that knew him. He will be dearly missed and thought of often with memories that will bring a smile to your face. In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his sisters, Fannie Ruth Howell Glover and Nancy Louise Dixon Bunn Bobby is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Dixie Bottoms Howell; sons, Steve Howell and Caroline of Raleigh and John Howell and wife, Amy of Spring Hope; grandsons, Jackson Howell of Washington State and Samuel Howell of Bailey and his brother, Wayne Howell of Rocky Mount.
