Brenda Alene Gilbert

Brenda Alene Gilbert, 80, of Wilson passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025.  

Brenda was retired from BB&T after twenty-three years. She volunteered with Meals on Wheel and United Way and she was an avid golfer. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed dearly. 

Brenda is survived by her loving husband of thirty years, Joey Gilbert; daughters, Malea Rhodes of Massachusetts and Jenna Cobb of Raleigh; her grandchildren, Henry and Virginia; sister-in-law, Margie; niece, Jeanne and her cousin, Mike Mitchell. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lavotis Mithcell, and her brothers, Wayne and Paul. 

Memorials are requested in Brenda’s memory to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, Maryland 21741.
