Brian Thomas Glover
November 17, 1976 – August 22, 2019
Brian Thomas Glover, 42, of Sims, NC, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2019. Brian was a loving husband, wonderful father, supportive son, loyal brother, and exceptional friend. The love of his life was his wife, Spencer, and their two children Joe and Grace. He was an avid outdoorsman, an impromptu chef for family and friends and always available as a friend to many. Brian spent countless hours at the ball fields and at the dance studio supporting not only his children but the community as well in their athletic endeavors. He supported his son Joe’s love of baseball and they spent many hours watching, playing and perfecting his game. Though lacking in dance rhythm himself, he encouraged his daughter Grace to hit the dance studio as well as pursue her love of soccer! He was very involved in the Rock Ridge Youth Athletic Association and Wilson City Little League and was an active member of Buckhorn United Methodist Church. Brian will be remembered as always being unselfish with his love and generous with his time.
Brian was a graduate of Hunt High School and of the North Carolina State Agriculture Institute. He was a motivated, self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and was proficient in various professional paths.
Brian is survived by his wife, Spencer Gwaltney Glover and children Joe and Grace of the home; parents, David and Beth Glover of Wilson; brothers, Dave (Melissa) of Clayton and Will (Emily) of Oakton, Virginia; parents-in-law, Eddie and Sally Gwaltney of Wilson; sister-in-law, Martha Blair Gwaltney of Wilson; several aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
