March 27, 1927 – December 5, 2014

Charles Julian Whaley, 87, formerly of Henderson passed away Friday.  His memorial service will be held 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.  The family will receive friends Sunday immediately following the service.   Julian is survived by his son, Deck Whaley and wife, Jennifer of Cary; his daughter, Keturah Garner and husband, Jeff of Wilson; his grandsons, Travis Deck Whaley of Blacksburg, Virginia, Justin Lee Whaley of Cary and Adam Billy Garner of Wilson and his granddaughter, Erin Keturah Garner of Wilson.   He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggie Deck Whaley and his parents, John Thurman Whaley, Sr. and Susan Alice Eubanks Whaley.   In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed by the Baptist Children’s Home of NC, PO Box 338, Thomasville, NC  27361.   Condolences may be directed to www.joyners.net.
