June 25, 1967 – February 6, 2014

Carlos “Richie” Pate, 46, of Lucama passed away Thursday.  Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.  The Rev. Melvin Barnette will officiate. The family will receive friends 1:30 – 2:45 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway and other times at the home. Richie was a loving husband, father, grandpa, son, brother and friend to all that knew him.  He will be missed and thought of often with warm memories of joy. Richie is survived by his wife, Melissa Webb Pate of the home; his sons, Jordon Pate of Saratoga, Johnny Pate and wife, Kellie of Pinetops, Trevor Pate of Lucama, and Zachary Pate of Lucama; his granddaughter, Victoria “Toot Toot” Pate of Pinetops; his parents, Bunn Carlos Pate and Donna Rich Pate of Saratoga and his sister, Stephanie Pate of Bailey.
