Carolyn Tice Driver February 9, 1935 - June 25, 2013

Carolyn Tice Driver, 78, of Wilson passed away Tuesday.-Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, 414 Sunset Road, Wilson, NC.-Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.-The Rev. Dr. Tom Watkins and the Rev. Jim McKinnon will officiate.

The family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Friday at Joyner-s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Carolyn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.-She was an elementary and middle school teacher for over thirty years, beginning at Braggtown School in Durham and ending at Greenfield Academy in Wilson.-Her longest tenure was at Winstead Elementary School in Wilson.-She was one of the initial teachers who led the opening of Forest Hills Middle School in Wilson.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Melissa Driver Beard of Cary; her grandson, Walker Beard of Cary; her sister, Sally Martin of Farmville and her brothers, Eddie Tice and Harrell Tice both of Durham.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Douglas Driver.
