Catherine Jenette Davis Brinson April 14, 1941 – June 5, 2016 Catherine Jenette Davis Brinson, 75, of Wilson passed away Sunday, surrounded by her loving family. Catherine was born on April 14, 1941 in Enfield. She was a strong, courageous woman who loved her family, and her God. She always had scriptural words of wisdom for anyone she met that might have been going through hard times. Catherine was a great cook and her family enjoyed many meals of chili beans, chicken and rice, link sausage, hamburger steaks, and her specialty concocted peach cobbler. Catherine is survived by her sons, Lee Brinson and wife, Sandra of Bailey, Kenneth Brinson and wife, Jo of Wilson, and Kelvin Brinson and wife, Susan of Wilson; her grandchildren, Lauren, Matthew and Andrew all of Wilson; sister, Nancy Arnold of Scotland Neck, and her brother, Roger “Hoppy” Davis of Holiday, Florida. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lee Brinson, and her parents, Joshua Davis and Mary Lee Speight Davis. The family wishes to thank a special friend, LeRoy.
