Charles Ray Allen
October 17, 1935 – October 19, 2018
Charles Ray Allen, 83 of Wilson passed away Friday peacefully with his family by his side after a lengthy illness. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Wayne Whitley will officiate.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home.
Charles was in the U.S. Air Force where he served his country with honor and pride. He was the owner of a service station and a truck driver. Charles was a loving husband, brother and a wonderful friend to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed and thought of often with memories that will warm the heart.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of fifty-two years, Martha W. Allen of the home; brother-in-law, Elijah Williams; special friends, Billy and Margaret Taylor; his god-children, Dawn St. Pierre and Robert Taylor; special niece, Angel Croft and husband, Jeremy special nephew, Tim Williams; sisters, Marlene Sutton, Meta Allen and Barbara Quick; nephews, Mike Sutton, Russ Quick, Tracy Quick and Johnny Quick and many kind friends and neighbors.
