Charles Ray Barnes February 9, 1935 – May 26, 2015 Charles Ray Barnes, 80, of Wilson passed away Tuesday. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. Keith Barnes will officiate. The family will receive friends 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, and other times at the residence. Surviving are his wife, Sue Harrell Barnes of the home; one daughter, Cathy Denise “De” Barnes Bynum and husband, Mike, of Lucama; one son, Keith Ray Barnes of Greenville, South Carolina; one granddaughter, Chloe Elizabeth Bynum; two sisters, Judy Lamm and Virginia Williamson, both of Wilson; one brother, Bobby Barnes of Lucama; and his loving companion, Toby. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Leamon and Elsie Barnes, and a brother, Tommie Barnes. Flowers are welcome and memorials may be directed to a charity of one’s choice.
