Charles "Chuck" Garland Floars

Chuck Floars, 64, of Wilson, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, June 7, 2022.

Chuck attended UNC at Chapel Hill and had a career as a bank executive. He loved working outdoors and cooking on the grill for everyone and hosted numerous holiday events. Chuck enjoyed the coast and spending time with his family and friends at his beach house where he loved reading, watching sunsets and relaxing.

He will be remembered as a caring and loving husband, brother and great friend. Charles will be missed tremendously by all who were lucky enough to know him.

The family would like to thank the hospital and hospice staff for their care and attention.

Chuck is survived by his husband, Jay Skinner of the home; sisters, Jackie Stott of Elm City and Karen Langley of Macclesfield; brother, Bill Floars of Pinetops; aunts, Peggy Mckeel and Debbie Skinner; cousin, Kim Mckeel; nephew, Logan Skinner and beloved pets, Velvet and Mann.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
