He was born to the late Charles Davis and Verna Christine Austell Moore on Dec. 10, 1950 in Memphis , TN . Bryan is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lynn Ewing Moore; son, Gregory Bryan Moore and wife , Kirsten; son, Jeffrey Allen Moore and wife Megan. He leaves two grandchildren, Lauren and Tyler. He leaves behind two sisters, Gail Moore and husband Jim of Nashville, TN. ; Melanie Moore of Dallas, TX; niece, Isabella Chacon and nephew, Evan Chacon. He also leaves a host of close friends that were family to him.
Bryan grew up in Greenwood, MS. and graduated from Mississippi State University. He served in the 2nd Infantry Division, 173rd Armor Headquarters Company for 2 years ( S. Korea) and in the National Guard for 3 years. When he returned from overseas, he met and married Lynn Ewing of Tupelo, MS. (1975). Their dream lasted 43 years with many adventures on land, at sea and never a regret of “I wish we had….”
In Greenwood, he was active in the Jaycees and attended First Presbyterian Church. He and his father partnered in the ownership of Moore and McDavid Pontiac, Buick, GMC and Toyota dealership which had been started by Bryan’s grandfather. After a short time in Nashville, Tn., his family moved to Rocky Mount, NC where he took a position at Befco as VP of Sales and Marketing. While there, he and another business associate worked on a long term project – flat deck folding flex mower. This revolutionized the turf grass farm industry. He later took a position at Milwaukee Instruments as General Manager of North American Operations. He continued to develop innovative water controller equipment for various industries. He always liked having a project. He said his hardest, greatest project and accomplishment was raising two wonderful sons to be wonderful men.
The last 17 years (weekends and vacations) were spent exploring the waterways of the East coast in a sailboat (Amazing Grace) with Lynn. His life was full as he would tell everyone that all of his blessings were a gift from God. He was always thankful and gave God the credit for all.
