Charles Ray Joyner, 74, of Wilson passed away Wednesday.-Funeral services will be conducted 7 p.m. Thursday at Joyner-s Funeral Home.-Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday in Evergreen Memorial Park.-The Rev. Rusty Russell will officiate.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Joyner-s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway and other times at the home of his sister, Marlene Winstead.

Ray is survived by his wife, Elsie Whitley Joyner of Wilson; his son, Michael Ray Joyner of Wilson; his sisters, Glenda J. Hobson and husband, Stanley of Sharpsburg and Marlene Winstead and husband, Millard of Sandy Cross and his step-grandchildren, Jay, Jordan, Carlie and Bailey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis Lee Joyner and Lillian Ruth Brewer Joyner and his sister, Rebecca Ann Lucas.
