Charles Ellis Whitley

Charles Ellis Whitley, 82 of Wilson passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023.  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 1815 Airport Boulevard W, Wilson.  Interment will follow in Stantonsburg Town Cemetery, Stantonsburg.  Pastor Joe Shakour will officiate.

The family will receive friends Wednesday prior to the service from 1 – 1:45 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Wilson.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of forty years, Louise Whitley of the home; sons, Spencer Whitley of Wilson, and Bobby Whitley of Wilmington; step-son, Tim Perry of Black Mountain; step-daughter, Lisa Perry of Wilson; granddaughter, Anna Grace Benton of Wilson, and his sister, Linda Little of Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Orpha Whitley
