Charlie Franklin Garner

Charlie Franklin Garner November 13, 1922 – August 27, 2017 Charlie “Shorty” Garner, 94, of Elm City passed away Sunday. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. David Barnes will officiate. Shorty is survived by his daughter, Cathy Williams of Wilson; sister, Ida Mae Driver of Elm City; granddaughters, Melissa Beth Jackson, Maggi Lou Swain and husband, Trevor, Marla Matthews and Ashley Garner; great-granddaughters, Piper Swain and Rylee Swain; great-grandsons, Jon Jackson, Jake Jackson, Bryce Matthews and Chason Matthews.
