July 28, 1992 – November 8, 2014

Christopher “Chris” Norman Brown, 22, formerly of Wilson passed away Saturday.  A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home.  The Rev. Shawn Garnett will officiate.   The family will receive friends Thursday immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway and other times at 7111 Huckleberry Road, Lucama.   Chris is survived by his mother, Angel Mattox Harvell of Virginia Beach,  Virginia and his step-father, Billy Harvell of Gates; his father, Norman Brown and step-mother, Deborah of Wilson; his sister, Kimberly Brown of Virginia Beach, Virginia; his great-grandmother, Nellie Varnell Mattox of Lucama, his grandmother, Diane Mattox of Lucama; his paternal grandparents, Don and Sandra Edwards of Holdens Crossroads; his special aunt, Tienna Mattox of Lucama; his aunt, Beverly Proctor and husband, Carl of Stantonsburg; his aunt, Lynn Narron of Bailey; his uncles, Ray Mattox  and wife, Mary Ellen of Wilson and Garland Mattox and wife, Bertha of Wilson; his cousins, Courtney Narron and Amber Narron of Wilson and Megan and Blake Proctor of Wilson; several nieces and nephews, and his fiancé Kristen Stocks of Windsor.   He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Troy Mattox and his uncle, David Mattox.   Flowers are welcome or memorials may be directed to the Christopher Brown Memorial Fund, PO Box 425, Wilson, NC  27894.   Condolences may be directed to www.joyners.net.
