Christopher Darl “Chris” Evans, 44, of Lucama passed away Tuesday.  A funeral service will be conducted 7 p.m. Friday at Joyner’s Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in the Holland Family Cemetery, Lucama.  The Rev. Wayne Goff and Rev. George Arant will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday evening immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and all other times at the home. Chris was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and a friend to all that knew him.  He was known as the “hobby man”.  Chris loved his planes, boats, motorcycles, playing cards, he loved to cook and he enjoyed his family and life.  He touched everyone with his infectious smile and he loved to tell stories.  Chris loved his two dogs, Steffi and Gabe immensely. Chris is survived by his wife, Tammy Wilson Evans of the home; his son, Justin Wilson Evans of the home; mother, Janie Holland Evans Crumpler and husband, Wayne of Kenly; his father, Ricky Evans and wife, Debbie of Southport; his sisters, Rhonda Evans Mangin and husband, Mike of Brooks, GA, Mary Laren Evans of Southport and  Sally Evans Ashburn and husband, Zach of Winston-Salem; his brother, Steven Gardner and wife, Dolly of Kenly; his maternal grandmother, Lucille Creech Holland of Wilson; his paternal grandmother, Nancy Wall Evans Radford and husband, Shelton of Kenly; his nieces and nephews, Ashleigh Brooke “Two mines” Wilson, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Mangin, Abigail Leigh Gardner, Dylan Burkett Gardner, Tanner Joshua Gardner and Matthew Mangin and his step-sister, Ashley Trotter and his step-brothers, Wade Mattox, Gatlin Mattox and Christopher Todd Crumpler.
