Christopher Patrick Joyner July 22, 1985 – September 11, 2016 Christopher “Chris” Patrick Joyner, 31, of Wilson passed away Sunday. His funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. The Rev. Oscar “Scooter” Coggin and his uncle, Rev. John Scott, Jr. will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 – 6:45 p.m. Tuesday evening prior to the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. Chris was very special to everyone he knew and left a lasting impression with them. He had many friends in the community and he loved to eat at his special places. Chris was deeply loved and he will be dearly missed and thought of often with memories that will bring smiles. Chris is survived by his parents, Patrick Timothy Joyner and Terri Scott Joyner of the home; his brother, Cameron Scott Joyner and wife, Stephanie Mercer Joyner of Wilson; his nieces, Audrey Osborne and Mackenzie Joyner both of Wilson; his nephew, Logan Joyner of Wilson; maternal grandparents, John and Joanne Scott of Elm City; paternal grandmother, Lois Joyner of Rocky Mount; several aunts and uncles and two very special caregivers, Arlene Lewis and Amanda Wainwright.
