Christopher “Leroy” D’Artagnan Edwards April 2, 2000 – March 28, 2021 Christopher “Leroy” D’Artagnan Edwards, 20 of Lucama passed away Sunday. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Interment will follow in the Pittman Family Cemetery, Hwy 222, Kenly. The Rev. Tim Suber will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Leroy is survived by his mother, Angela Carter and husband, Lee; father, Tony Deans; sisters, Taylor Vick and Abigail Marks; brother, Bradley Marks, Jr.; stepsister, Jamie Carter and his grandmother, Gail Deans. Leroy had a contagious smile and could put a smile on everyone else’s face too. He was a good dancer and a great baseball player. Leroy was an award-winning pitcher and umpire. While playing high school baseball at Southern Nash, he also trained and mentored younger players at the Next Level Baseball Academy. Leroy also enjoyed playing pool with his dad and hanging out with all his buddies. Old soul and a friend to all. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Marjorie Edwards.
