Clarence "Rudy" Rudolph Strickland

Clarence “Rudy” Rudolph Strickland, 87, of Wilson passed away Sunday. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024, in Stantonsburg Town Cemetery, Stantonsburg. 

 The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

 Rudy had a long career in the banking industry and retired with over twenty-five years of service with BB & T.

 Rudy is survived by his sweetheart, Shirley Swain; daughter, Melissa Strickland; sons, Rudy Strickland, Freddie Strickland, and Dale Strickland; granddaughters, Hillary Strickland Van Heyst and Hadley Strickland Smith; and his brother, Butch Strickland.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Edith Freeman and his sisters, June Hawley, and Frances Cole.
