Claudette Gatlin
December 1, 1937 – January 11, 2019
The Lord has received another angel, Claudette “Rose” Gatlin, of Jarvisburg, formerly of Wilson, passed away peacefully Friday morning, January 11, 2019 in her home surrounded by her loving and caring family in Currituck County.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Mickey Gatlin and her parents Willis and Delana Phillips.
She is survived by her loving children, Jim Rose and wife, Mary, Phillip “Tim” and wife, Tammy, Rick and wife, Shelly, Jeff Rose, Tammy Marie Rose, and Sherri Maters; grandchildren, Trey Rose, Jennifer and husband, Jeb Tate, Tw and wife, Lydia Rose, Ricki Rose, Alex Rose, Kimberly Rose and Laura Gorna; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Braxton R., Jamie, Zachary, Jaxon, Christian, Juliana, Jillian, Braxton C., Hannah, Lily and Lynsey; her extended family, James & Sandy Rawls and her special caregivers, Traci Simmons and her daughter, Taylor.
She will be greatly missed and never forgotten. The family would like to thank Community Home Care & Hospice, they will always be grateful for the extended care and support they gave to Rose and her family.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Evergreen Memorial Park, 2800 Nash Street, Wilson. A celebration of life will follow the service at Farmington Heights Church of God, 910 Raleigh Road Parkway W, Wilson with a light lunch. The Rev. LaVon Phillips will officiate.
